THE MISSION
To consol and counsel the whole man expressing holiness, compassion and dedication through our deportment.

The History
Comfort House Ministries is a vision given to Reverend Ivan D. Rolle Sr., in 1993. It became a reality in September 1998.

The Prophet Nehemiah, whose name is Jehovah Comforts was given a mission by God to Rebuild the wall of the fortified city, Jerusalem. It is in Nehemiah, that Comfort House has confirmed its mission.

God has called Comfort House, and stamped His approval on the Ministry to rebuild the wall of marriage and family life; morality and value in our society that has gone insane with materialism, greed, immorality, hatred and violence.

We have a passion to reconcile our people young and old, back to God. We are determined to restore them in their God given purposes. We are committed to seeing hearts, minds and behaviors reformed to a Christ-like identity and we vow to continually refine individuals so that their gifts can be used to better themselves spiritually, socially, physically and economically.
(1 Peter chp.2)

THE PASTOR
Reverend Ivan D. Rolle, Sr.’s Christian pilgrimage began after a Damascus experience (like the Apostle Paul) in April 1989, when his brother sought to resolve his marital problems through suicide, taking his wife, and eldest son with him, leaving his lovely daughter, an orphan. It was on that day that Ivan D. Rolle Sr. vowed to be loyal to his God, marriage and family, and is continuously devoting his life to the Ministry of Jesus.

Since then, he allowed God to reconcile, restore, reform and refine his own marriage, which began in 1982 to the former Ruthann Minus. Ruth Ann Rolle, C.H.E., B. Sc., a hospitality educator and senior executive at the Ministry of Tourism also rededicated her life to the Lord.

As a result of this ordeal and the trials, the couple experienced in their own marriage that was heading to an end, they completely revamped their lives and both are now passionate about broken marriages being reconciled and restored. They are desirous of existing ones being refined. They have been blessed with three wonderful children; Tenniel, Xavia and Ivan Jr. Joseph and Madeline Rolle are proud to be Pastor Rolle`s parents and his relatives appreciate the call on his life.

He felt the call on his life to the Sacred Ministry in 1991. Consequently, he received formal training at The Bahamas Baptist Institute and the American Baptist Theological Seminary in Nashville, Tennessee. His dedication to God took him to many arenas in Seminary and he was favoured to travel extensively to preach the gospel, representing and promoting the school. He also served as Chairman of International Students, and Vice President of the Student Government Association. In addition to these achievements, he was listed in the Who’s Who Among American Colleges and the National Dean’s List every year of his matriculation at ABC.

Both he and his wife served under Bishop Neil C. Ellis at Mount Tabor, 1989-1997, in capacities as Men and Women Departments` Presidents, Coordinators of the Marriage Club, Counselor and Team Captains for Church House Sports. Pastor Rolle served as Pastor of Christian Education, Minister, and Deacon. His wife served as Chairman of the Hospitality Committee. Both are former hoteliers. Reverend Rolle was employed at The Sheraton Grand Hotel for 13 years. His last position at that hotel was Food and Beverage Manager.

Reverend Rolle also served at Mission Baptist Church under Dr. R. E. Cooper Jr. in 1998. He served as Pastoral Associate, Co-Chairman, and Acting Executive Secretary of the Mission Consortium Churches Convocation, Academic Associate Covington Theological Seminary, Coordinator and lecturer Interdenominational Theological Certificate Program (Atlanta based). He served on the National Standards Committee for Hotel Operation, an Interdevelopmental Bank Project and as one of the coordinators for the food and beverage section of the Bahamas Games, 1995. He enjoys a good game of basketball and is an avid supporter of his children’s school extra curricula events.
